Innovation as a natural path
As so many things happen, Chata Biosystems was the result of one thing leading to another. Over ten years ago our founder, Dr. Ed Neas, developed a bag system that would dispense cell culture media into bottles of growing cells with a reduced risk of contamination. A manager of a pharmaceutical QC laboratory saw the bag system and asked if other chemistries would be stable within the bag system.
Their analysts were mixing many chemical solutions every day. They were under pressure to reproducibly make solutions without errors. Their manager believed if these chemical solutions could be purchased already prepared in stable easy to use packaging, the lab’s throughput would increase along with a reduction in both cost and time to product release.
This lab director’s question and explanation launched Chata Biosystems, Inc. and the CHEM+NECT™ packaging system.
